Michael Deffley Owner/Operator

With nearly 20 years in insurance restoration, Mike has led everything from intricate kitchen rebuilds to full-scale disaster recovery. He co-founded and grew Alliance Restoration to 50 employees before launching BuildBak Rhode Island. Licensed in RI and certified in OSHA and lead-safe practices, he’s known for quality, safety, and a client-first approach. A UMass Amherst graduate and former team captain, Mike applies leadership, discipline, and integrity to every project, while remaining a devoted husband, father of four, and active community member.

Co-founders and brothers Nate and Matt Hamel saw an opportunity to redefine industry standards, ensuring that property owners receive expert reconstruction services while navigating insurance claims with confidence.
